Gendun Drubpa

Gendun Drubpa Buddhist Center is an FPMT Tibetan Buddhist Study Group named after the first Dalai Lama. We are located in Central British Columbia, Canada, near 150 Mile House, 30 minutes from Williams Lake.
Our goal is to provide a welcoming and contemplative environment where people can meet the Dharma (the teachings of the Buddha), study and deepen our understanding of the Buddhist path to enlightenment. Our study group is composed of individuals who meet to meditate and study together with the help of a volunteer coordinator.

STUPA PROJECT for WORLD PEACE and ENVIRONMENTAL HARMONY
Ani Chonyi has arrived at Gendun Drubpa to oversee this project as per Lama Zopa Rinpoche's instructions. Rinpoche stated that Gendun Drubpa was the BEST place to build the stupa!

When we study Buddhism, we are studying ourselves, the nature of our own minds. Buddhism emphasizes practical matters such as how to lead our lives, how to integrate our minds, and how to keep our everyday lives peaceful and healthy. In other words, Buddhism accentuates experiential knowledge - wisdom rather than a dogmatic view"
